How much does house cleaning cost in Florida?

A Standard Recurring Clean in Florida starts from $189 per visit as of September 2026, and bedrooms, bathrooms and how often you book set the final number, fixed before the visit. Homesheen quotes one flat price per visit and never an hourly rate, the quote is fixed before we start, and booking begins with a call to (877) 549-4411. We do not advertise affordable house cleaning; we publish the price.

Above that starting price, the Orlando metro starts from $209 a visit, and the rest of Florida from $199. Jacksonville, the largest city, starts from $189. Two services cost more than a standard visit: a Deep Cleaning starts from $269 since it covers the inside of the oven and fridge, the baseboards and the cabinets, and a Move In / Move Out starts from $299 since it cleans an empty home wall to wall.

Price my home

Hourly rate vs per visit

Is $50 an hour a good rate for house cleaning, and what does three hours buy?

An hourly rate only tells you what you pay if the job runs long. Three hours at $35 is $105, but the same home that takes a first-time house cleaner three hours takes a crew who knows it two, and the price you were quoted is not the price you pay either way.

Homesheen quotes the visit, not the hour. A Standard Recurring Clean is one number for the whole home, set from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. Two of us on a 2,000 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is a visit of about three hours the first time and closer to two on a schedule; the number stays the same.

So the honest comparison is per visit. Take any hourly quote, multiply by the hours the cleaner expects, and put it next to the Florida ranges above. If the hourly total is lower, ask what happens when it takes longer.

Florida homes

What is different about cleaning a home in Florida?

Humidity is what changes a house cleaning in Florida: it runs year-round with a June to September rainy season, and mildew builds fast on grout and shower caulk between visits.

Across central and south Florida, around Tampa, Orlando and Miami, that rainy-season humidity runs heaviest, and the bathrooms take the longest of any room since mildew on grout and caulk needs a close scrub. Sand tracked in from beaches adds to the kitchen floor's dirt. Tile runs throughout, with area rugs on top, so a visit means mopping the tile and vacuuming the rugs, and a screened lanai collects pollen and sand at the door.

In north Florida, around Jacksonville, humid summers bring the same mildew risk, plus a heavy live oak pollen drop each February and March that coats surfaces with dust. Tile and laminate floors mean the bathrooms again take longer to wipe down, and a covered porch and garage entry bring in pollen and pine needles.

First visits across the state cluster in April to May, before the rainy season and summer humidity set in.

What lands on the invoice

Is the quote the final price, or does anything get added?

The number we quote is the number on the invoice. It already covers the crew, the cleaning supplies and equipment we bring, and any sales tax that applies to residential cleaning in Florida; nothing is added afterward, and there is no travel fee inside the service area. If a visit runs longer than we planned, that time is our cost. The only way the figure changes is if you change the order: a Deep Cleaning instead of a Standard Recurring Clean, or a different frequency, and you see the new number before we come.

Why Homesheen

What is different about a Homesheen house cleaning in Florida?

Three things, and they hold in every city we work in. The quote is one flat number for the visit, built from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. On a recurring plan the same crew comes every visit, so nobody relearns your kitchen. And there is no contract: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning, and you stop when you want.

We bring our own cleaning supplies and equipment: vacuum, mop, the products for kitchens and bathrooms. Laundry, organizing and exterior windows are not part of any visit, and the city pages list exactly what is, as a cleaning checklist for a Standard Recurring Clean and a Deep Cleaning. We do not promise a spotless home or that we go above and beyond; we promise the list, and if a spot on it was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and redo it.

What is the going rate for house cleaning in Florida?
In Florida, a Standard Recurring Clean starts from $189 per visit as of September 2026. Bedrooms, bathrooms and how often you book set the final number, and it is fixed before the visit. Our city pages for Florida show the exact local figure for your area, since a small condo and a large house price differently. Call (877) 549-4411 for the number for your home.
What is the going hourly rate for a house cleaner in Florida?
We do not charge by the hour. In Florida, a Standard Recurring Clean starts from $189 per visit. A flat price protects you if a job runs long, since that extra time becomes our cost, not yours, and the price you booked at stays the price you pay.
How much does it cost to clean a 2000 sq ft house?
Bathrooms and hard flooring set cleaning time more than square footage does. In Florida, a Standard Recurring Clean starts from $189 per visit, and a Deep Cleaning starts from $269. Your city page carries the exact figure for a 2,000 square foot home in your area.
Will anything be added to the quote?
No. Tax, supplies and travel inside the service area are already in the number, and it does not move once we are inside. Change the service or the frequency and you get a new number before the visit, not after.
How much do cleaners charge for 3 hours?
We do not sell hours. A Standard Recurring Clean on a typical Florida home is one flat price for the whole visit, and the section above shows how to compare that against an hourly quote. If the job takes longer than we planned, that is our cost, not yours.
How often should a home be cleaned in Florida?
Weekly or bi-weekly for a lived-in family home, monthly for a home with one or two adults. A first visit on a home that has gone months without a house cleaning service is a Deep Cleaning, a one-time cleaning that resets the home, and the recurring cleaning schedule starts after it. The regional section above says which season Florida homes book that first visit.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Pick weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, change it when life changes, and stop when you want. The price per visit is set by the frequency you are on at the time.
Which Florida cities do you cover?
166 of them, listed at the top of this page with a link to each city's own price and calculator. If your town is not on the list, call (877) 549-4411 and we will tell you whether a nearby crew reaches it.
