How much does house cleaning cost in Alabama?
In Alabama, a Standard Recurring Clean starts from $169 per visit as of September 2026; bedrooms, bathrooms and how often you book set the final number, which is fixed before the visit. Homesheen quotes one flat price per visit, never an hourly rate, the quote is set before we start, and booking starts with a call to (877) 549-4411. We do not advertise affordable house cleaning; we publish the price.
The map barely moves the starting price: Huntsville and the rest of Alabama both start from $169 a visit, so the difference comes from the home, not the metro. Two services cost more than a standard visit: a Deep Cleaning starts from $239 since it reaches inside the oven and fridge, the baseboards and the cabinets, and a Move In / Move Out starts from $269 since it covers an empty home cleaned wall to wall.

Price my homeHourly rate vs per visit
Is $50 an hour a good rate for house cleaning, and what does three hours buy?
An hourly rate only tells you what you pay if the job runs long. Three hours at $35 is $105, but the same home that takes a first-time house cleaner three hours takes a crew who knows it two, and the price you were quoted is not the price you pay either way.
Homesheen quotes the visit, not the hour. A Standard Recurring Clean is one number for the whole home, set from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. Two of us on a 2,000 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is a visit of about three hours the first time and closer to two on a schedule; the number stays the same.
So the honest comparison is per visit. Take any hourly quote, multiply by the hours the cleaner expects, and put it next to the Alabama ranges above. If the hourly total is lower, ask what happens when it takes longer.

What is different about cleaning a home in Alabama?
Humidity is what changes a house cleaning in Alabama: long summers hold moisture in the air, a yellow pine pollen coat settles every March, and red clay gets tracked in after rain.
Inland Alabama, from Birmingham to Montgomery, gets that pollen coat and red clay first, and the kitchen takes longer to clean since counters and floors catch dust between visits. Carpet in the bedrooms and hardwood and tile in the living areas mean we vacuum for pollen and wipe the hard floors, and a carport or garage entry keeps tracking red clay onto the floors.
Along the Gulf Coast, around Mobile, humidity runs heavy most of the year, mildew builds in the bathrooms and closets, and salt air films the windows near the water, so the bathrooms take longer to clean. Tile and vinyl plank floors with carpet in the bedrooms mean more mopping, and an attached garage entry brings in mud after downpours.
First visits across the state cluster in March to April, after the pine pollen settles.

What lands on the invoice
Is the quote the final price, or does anything get added?
The number we quote is the number on the invoice. It already covers the crew, the cleaning supplies and equipment we bring, and any sales tax that applies to residential cleaning in Alabama; nothing is added afterward, and there is no travel fee inside the service area. If a visit runs longer than we planned, that time is our cost. The only way the figure changes is if you change the order: a Deep Cleaning instead of a Standard Recurring Clean, or a different frequency, and you see the new number before we come.

Why Homesheen
What is different about a Homesheen house cleaning in Alabama?
Three things, and they hold in every city we work in. The quote is one flat number for the visit, built from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. On a recurring plan the same crew comes every visit, so nobody relearns your kitchen. And there is no contract: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning, and you stop when you want.
We bring our own cleaning supplies and equipment: vacuum, mop, the products for kitchens and bathrooms. Laundry, organizing and exterior windows are not part of any visit, and the city pages list exactly what is, as a cleaning checklist for a Standard Recurring Clean and a Deep Cleaning. We do not promise a spotless home or that we go above and beyond; we promise the list, and if a spot on it was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and redo it.
