How much does gutter cleaning cost in Alabama?
A single visit to clear gutters and downspouts in Alabama starts from $205, set by the home's stories and its linear feet of gutter, as of September 2026. Homesheen prices by the linear foot and by height, the quote is fixed before we arrive, and you book it by calling (877) 549-4411. That number is not a free estimate that grows once a crew is on the ladder.
Prices differ across the state because Alabama is not one labor market. Labor in the Huntsville metro sits above the state figure, and roof height and tree cover differ between the interior around Birmingham and Montgomery and the Gulf Coast strip near Mobile, where homes sit under heavier live oak canopy. That difference in coverage, not the size of the house, moves the price up from the starting figure.
| City | Single story | Two story |
|---|---|---|
| Huntsville | from $229 | from $419 |
| Birmingham | from $229 | from $419 |
| Montgomery | from $205 | from $375 |
| Mobile | from $205 | from $375 |
| Tuscaloosa | from $205 | from $375 |

Price my homeHow often
How often should gutters be cleaned in Alabama?
Alabama needs two visits a year across the state, timed around pine pollen and the fall leaf drop. In the interior around Birmingham, Montgomery and the rest of the deep south interior, gutters fill twice: once in April after the pine pollen has finished falling and again in December once oak and sweetgum leaves are down. Loblolly pine, water oak, pecan, sweetgum and magnolia all shed into the gutters here, and humid summer thunderstorms plus a late-summer hurricane remnant or two keep debris moving into the troughs between visits.
Along the Gulf Coast strip near Mobile, the same two-visit rhythm applies in April and December, but homes shaded by live oak canopy need a third cleaning because live oaks drop leaves twice, in late winter and again in November. This part of the state sees some of the heaviest year-round rain in the country, so a full gutter here backs up fast during a downpour. Regular gutter maintenance keeps that water moving off the roof and through the downspouts, away from the fascia and foundation, instead of overflowing at the corners.

Why Homesheen
What is different about a Homesheen gutter cleaning in Alabama?
Three things, and they hold in every city we work in. The price is set by the foot and by height before we arrive, so a two-story home with 180 feet of gutter gets one number and that number is the invoice. We work three stories and up, which most gutter crews stop short of. And every visit ends with before and after photos of every run on your phone, so you can check the work without a ladder, or forward it to an HOA that asked.
Gutter repair, guard installation and new gutters are not things we do. If your run needs one of them, we say so and leave it at that.
Who is responsible
Who is responsible for gutter cleaning in Alabama: the HOA, the condo association or you?
In Alabama, who cleans the gutters is decided by your community's governing documents, not by the state. The declaration and bylaws say what counts as a common element and what belongs to the owner.
Condos and attached townhomes. The roof and the gutters on it are usually common elements, and the association handles cleaning. Some declarations hand balcony or entry gutters back to the owner, so check yours before you book.
Single-family HOA communities. You own the house, the roof and the gutters. The HOA can require that they be kept clear and can send a violation notice if they are not, but the cleaning itself is yours to arrange.

If the letter came from your HOA, the fastest way to close it is a dated before-and-after photo set, which is what every Homesheen visit ends with.

What it costs to skip
What happens if you never clean your gutters in Alabama?
Clogged gutters packed with leaves and debris do not overflow neatly. Water starts backing up under the roof edge, runs down the outside of the wall, and collects at the foundation. That leads to rotted fascia boards, stained siding, mold on the wall behind them, and water damage to the interior wall. Any one of those turns into costly repairs that run past what ten years of gutter cleaning would cost.
Tower Hill Insurance, a home insurer, recommends clearing gutters twice a year for exactly this reason: it protects the foundation and the walls, and it is an insurer saying so, not a contractor.
If the regional calendar above puts your area in a cleaning window now, book the clean before the next heavy rainfall.
