How much does house cleaning cost in Oregon?

A Standard Recurring Clean in Oregon starts from $229 per visit, with the exact price set by the number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the home and how often you book, as of September 2026. Homesheen quotes one flat price per visit and never charges by the hour, the quote is fixed before we start, and you can book by calling (877) 549-4411. We do not advertise affordable house cleaning; we publish the price.

Portland's metro sits above the rest of the state, where home values push the price higher. Two services cost more than a standard visit: a Deep Cleaning starts from $319 because it adds the inside of the oven and fridge, baseboards and cabinets, and a Move In / Move Out starts from $369 because it covers an empty home cleaned wall to wall.

Price my home

Hourly rate vs per visit

Is $50 an hour a good rate for house cleaning, and what does three hours buy?

An hourly rate only tells you what you pay if the job runs long. Three hours at $35 is $105, but the same home that takes a first-time house cleaner three hours takes a crew who knows it two, and the price you were quoted is not the price you pay either way.

Homesheen quotes the visit, not the hour. A Standard Recurring Clean is one number for the whole home, set from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. Two of us on a 2,000 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is a visit of about three hours the first time and closer to two on a schedule; the number stays the same.

So the honest comparison is per visit. Take any hourly quote, multiply by the hours the cleaner expects, and put it next to the Oregon ranges above. If the hourly total is lower, ask what happens when it takes longer.

Oregon homes

What is different about cleaning a home in Oregon?

Rain is what changes a house cleaning in Oregon: eight months of it track mud in and leave bathrooms damp, with mildew forming on window frames and shower grout.

In Portland and across western Oregon, that rain is why bathrooms take the longest of any room, with mildew on window frames and grout needing extra wiping. Floors are hardwood and carpet with tile in the bathrooms, so mopping adds to the visit, and a covered entry is where wet shoes and coats come off first.

East of the Cascades, snow and road grit from November through March give way to dry, dusty summers with wildfire smoke ash some years, and the kitchen takes longer to clean under those conditions. Homes lean toward carpet and hardwood with tile in the bathrooms, adding dust to sweep from hard floors, and a mudroom entry with a basement adds another spot where dirt collects.

In Oregon, the first visit of the year is often booked in May to June, after the rains end.

What lands on the invoice

Is the quote the final price, or does anything get added?

The number we quote is the number on the invoice. It already covers the crew, the cleaning supplies and equipment we bring, and any sales tax that applies to residential cleaning in Oregon; nothing is added afterward, and there is no travel fee inside the service area. If a visit runs longer than we planned, that time is our cost. The only way the figure changes is if you change the order: a Deep Cleaning instead of a Standard Recurring Clean, or a different frequency, and you see the new number before we come.

Why Homesheen

What is different about a Homesheen house cleaning in Oregon?

Three things, and they hold in every city we work in. The quote is one flat number for the visit, built from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. On a recurring plan the same crew comes every visit, so nobody relearns your kitchen. And there is no contract: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning, and you stop when you want.

We bring our own cleaning supplies and equipment: vacuum, mop, the products for kitchens and bathrooms. Laundry, organizing and exterior windows are not part of any visit, and the city pages list exactly what is, as a cleaning checklist for a Standard Recurring Clean and a Deep Cleaning. We do not promise a spotless home or that we go above and beyond; we promise the list, and if a spot on it was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and redo it.

What is the going rate for house cleaning in Oregon?
In Oregon, a Standard Recurring Clean starts from $229 per visit as of September 2026. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the home, along with how often you book, sets the final number, fixed before the visit. City pages show the exact local figure for each area we serve. Call (877) 549-4411 for the number for your home.
What is the going hourly rate for a house cleaner in Oregon?
We do not charge by the hour, ever. Oregon's Standard Recurring Clean starts from $229 per visit, and that price is fixed before we start. A flat price protects you: if a job runs long, the extra time is our cost, not yours, so the quote you accept is the quote you pay.
How much does it cost to clean a 2000 sq ft house?
Square footage alone does not set the price of a 2,000 square foot home; bathrooms and hard flooring matter more. In Oregon, a Standard Recurring Clean for a home that size starts from $229 per visit, and a Deep Cleaning starts from $319. The exact figure for your address is on the city page.
Will anything be added to the quote?
No. Tax, supplies and travel inside the service area are already in the number, and it does not move once we are inside. Change the service or the frequency and you get a new number before the visit, not after.
How much do cleaners charge for 3 hours?
We do not sell hours. A Standard Recurring Clean on a typical Oregon home is one flat price for the whole visit, and the section above shows how to compare that against an hourly quote. If the job takes longer than we planned, that is our cost, not yours.
How often should a home be cleaned in Oregon?
Weekly or bi-weekly for a lived-in family home, monthly for a home with one or two adults. A first visit on a home that has gone months without a house cleaning service is a Deep Cleaning, a one-time cleaning that resets the home, and the recurring cleaning schedule starts after it. The regional section above says which season Oregon homes book that first visit.
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Pick weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, change it when life changes, and stop when you want. The price per visit is set by the frequency you are on at the time.
Which Oregon cities do you cover?
47 of them, listed at the top of this page with a link to each city's own price and calculator. If your town is not on the list, call (877) 549-4411 and we will tell you whether a nearby crew reaches it.
