How much does house cleaning cost in Michigan?
A Standard Recurring Clean in Michigan starts from $199 per visit, as of September 2026, and the final number is set by bedrooms, bathrooms and how often you book, fixed before the visit. Homesheen quotes one flat price per visit, never an hourly rate, and that quote is fixed before we start; call (877) 549-4411 to book. We do not advertise affordable house cleaning; we publish the price.
Detroit's metro sits above the rest of the state, which is why the starting price shifts as you cross Michigan. Two services run higher than a standard visit: a Deep Cleaning, from $279 because it adds the inside of the oven and fridge, baseboards and cabinets, and a Move In / Move Out, from $319 because it covers an empty home cleaned wall to wall.

Price my homeHourly rate vs per visit
Is $50 an hour a good rate for house cleaning, and what does three hours buy?
An hourly rate only tells you what you pay if the job runs long. Three hours at $35 is $105, but the same home that takes a first-time house cleaner three hours takes a crew who knows it two, and the price you were quoted is not the price you pay either way.
Homesheen quotes the visit, not the hour. A Standard Recurring Clean is one number for the whole home, set from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. Two of us on a 2,000 square foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom home is a visit of about three hours the first time and closer to two on a schedule; the number stays the same.
So the honest comparison is per visit. Take any hourly quote, multiply by the hours the cleaner expects, and put it next to the Michigan ranges above. If the hourly total is lower, ask what happens when it takes longer.
Michigan homes
What is different about cleaning a home in Michigan?
Winter is what changes a house cleaning in Michigan: long winters track in road salt, slush and sand from November through March, and dry heated air leaves dust behind. Between visits, salt, slush and sand build up near doors through the cold months, and the dry furnace air keeps settling grit on counters and shelves. The kitchen takes the longest of any room, since daily cooking layers grease onto that buildup that the mop has to break through.
Floors here mix hardwood and carpet, with tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, so a visit covers vacuuming carpet, wiping wood and scrubbing tile grout in the bathrooms. A mudroom or back entry catches boots and salt before they spread further, and a finished basement adds another level to cover on the way through.
The first visit here is often booked March to April, after the salt season ends.

What lands on the invoice
Is the quote the final price, or does anything get added?
The number we quote is the number on the invoice. It already covers the crew, the cleaning supplies and equipment we bring, and any sales tax that applies to residential cleaning in Michigan; nothing is added afterward, and there is no travel fee inside the service area. If a visit runs longer than we planned, that time is our cost. The only way the figure changes is if you change the order: a Deep Cleaning instead of a Standard Recurring Clean, or a different frequency, and you see the new number before we come.

Why Homesheen
What is different about a Homesheen house cleaning in Michigan?
Three things, and they hold in every city we work in. The quote is one flat number for the visit, built from bedrooms, bathrooms and how often we come, and it does not move once we are inside. On a recurring plan the same crew comes every visit, so nobody relearns your kitchen. And there is no contract: weekly, bi-weekly or monthly cleaning, and you stop when you want.
We bring our own cleaning supplies and equipment: vacuum, mop, the products for kitchens and bathrooms. Laundry, organizing and exterior windows are not part of any visit, and the city pages list exactly what is, as a cleaning checklist for a Standard Recurring Clean and a Deep Cleaning. We do not promise a spotless home or that we go above and beyond; we promise the list, and if a spot on it was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we come back and redo it.
